Israel will, as it has in the past, be spectacularly successful in its operations in Gaza...initially. But, because of this success, huge pressure will be put upon the UN (and is already being done) to cause Israel to cease operations, to back down or at least hold in place. Israel knows it cannot afford to do that. In the past, when winning the war against its attackers, the UN and other nations have pressured Israel to stop and to make peace. It has done so to its own hurt.
Imagine if, after we’d punished Japan for its attack on us and after we’d suffered so many deaths and been at war with them and was on the verge of totally defeating them, an entity called the UN called for America to stop and insisted on negotiating a peace treaty, not a surrender. That would have meant we could not have insisted on absolute surrender from Japan. The same holds true for the war with Germany. Yet, this is what the UN (and America) has done to Israel multiple times.
This time, Israel will be resistant to stopping before it feels it has accomplished certain objectives, one of which includes taking away the ability for HAMAS to ever repeat their actions. That resistance by Israel will create a number of issues for Israel that.
ISRAEL WILL BEGIN LOSING THE WAR
The first issue will be the sudden withdrawal of support by America (assuming the current administration, or one worse than that (like an Obama-Newsom Presidency?). The current President is not a true supporter of Israel, contrary to his public statements of support. If the war goes on long enough, while Joe is still in office, he will eventually join with the Arab voices calling for Israel to cease operations or a demand to come to the “peace table.” There will be no talks of peace there. Only talks about Israel stopping it’s efforts to defend itself and defeat a murderous enemy once and for all. And, when Israel refuses, his temper, which is well known to those who work for him, will explode and he will immediately order a total cessation of support for Israel.
Listening off-stage to this little piece of drama, will be a discreet, somewhat hidden player in the war whose fingerprints are known to exist in the attack on Israel. That player will see opportunities, both strategic and financial, to be made in the war against Israel. So, they will move into place, confident of the absence of the United States.
I believe at some point, we will see Russia directly involved in this war.
NEW PLAYERS WILL ENTER THE WAR
We will also, by this time, see several other Arab states line up militarily against Israel, particularly in light of their losing their only real ally with military power, the United States. As a result, there is likely going to be some very serious losses suffered by Israel in this war. It’s going to win the war, but there will be a heavy cost. However, the final cost will be to its enemies. The number of deaths on their side will be substantial. They literally will not be able to count the bodies.
Israel will not be able to take credit for the deaths of its enemies.
They will have to thank God for that.
